MazdaMunchers

Terms, safety, and our story

Draft for review before use: These Terms & Conditions are a practical operating draft for MazdaMunchers in New Zealand. They are not formal legal advice. The owner should have a qualified New Zealand lawyer review them before relying on them for trading, employment, contractor, privacy, or age-restricted goods.

About MazdaMunchers

MazdaMunchers began with a family idea. Jay imagined a delivery business for Anakin and our family, and he built an early app to help make it possible. Jay had to leave when his visa came to an end, before the idea could become the service we had pictured.

Anakin is my 13-year-old autistic son. He loved the idea and was sad when Jay left and the idea seemed to disappear. I stepped up and built MazdaMunchers to keep that idea alive and to make Anakin’s wish come true: a practical local delivery service shaped around care, respect, reliability, and community.

MazdaMunchers is built to connect customers, local establishments, and drivers through one durable ordering and delivery platform. The values behind the service are truth, respect, and unconditional love.

1. General Terms

By using MazdaMunchers, placing an order, registering as a driver, or using the Admin-managed services, you agree to follow these Terms, the instructions shown in the app, and applicable New Zealand law. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

MazdaMunchers may update menus, prices, delivery availability, delivery times, fees, and these Terms. The version accepted at the time of an order or driver signup is recorded where the platform supports that record.

2. Customer Terms

Orders and payment

Customers must provide accurate names, delivery addresses, contact details, item selections, and delivery notes. An order is not guaranteed until the platform accepts it. Prices and delivery fees are shown before ordering and are recorded in the order snapshot.

Customers may pay by the available method shown in the order flow, including bank transfer or cash where offered. Selecting “I’ve Paid” submits a payment claim; it does not prove that funds have arrived. The assigned driver confirms receipt before handover.

Delivery

Customers must be available at the delivery address, provide safe access, and communicate respectfully with drivers. Delays may occur because of establishment preparation, traffic, weather, safety, or driver availability. Customers should contact support promptly about missing, damaged, incorrect, or disputed items.

Customer conduct

Customers must not misuse the service, harass drivers or establishments, submit false payment claims, abuse refunds or disputes, or attempt to order prohibited goods.

3. Drivers and Delivery Partners

Eligibility

Drivers must provide truthful registration information, maintain a valid email and password, and meet all legal requirements for the vehicle and delivery activity. A driver must hold at least a valid New Zealand restricted licence. A learner-licence driver may only participate where legally permitted and must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or other eligible full-licence supervisor. The driver is responsible for confirming that the arrangement is lawful.

Drivers acknowledge the licence requirement and these Terms during signup. The acknowledgement and applicable Terms version are stored with the driver account. The platform generates the driver ID and stores it with the driver record; drivers must not impersonate another account or share credentials.

Driver conduct

Drivers must drive safely, obey licence conditions and road rules, keep customer information confidential, follow establishment and customer instructions, and use the Progress and Paid controls honestly. A driver must confirm customer ID for restricted items before handover when the order requires it.

Drivers must not accept work while impaired, unsafe, unlicensed for the activity, using an unsafe vehicle, or unable to meet the delivery obligations. MazdaMunchers may suspend access while a safety, conduct, payment, or identity concern is reviewed.

4. 18+ and Restricted Items

Items marked 18+ / ID required may only be ordered by a person who is at least 18 years old and legally permitted to purchase or receive that item. The customer must confirm at checkout that they are 18+ and will have valid government-issued photo ID present at delivery.

The platform does not require an ID number or a copy of the document to be stored in the order. The assigned driver must inspect acceptable photo ID at handover and may refuse handover if the customer cannot establish age, the ID does not reasonably match the customer, the customer appears intoxicated or unsafe, or the item cannot lawfully be supplied. A driver’s confirmation is recorded as an operational event, not as a guarantee that a third party’s legal requirements have been satisfied.

Customers must never ask a driver to bypass the ID check. Orders may be cancelled or returned where age, identity, safety, payment, or legal requirements cannot be met.

5. Privacy and Records

MazdaMunchers collects only information needed to operate ordering, delivery, payment confirmation, driver accounts, support, security, and audit records. Order details, driver IDs, status changes, and payment states may be stored to provide tracking, resolve disputes, protect users, and maintain accurate totals.

Customers and drivers must not publish another person’s name, address, contact information, ID details, payment information, or private messages. The owner should publish a separate privacy statement and obtain professional advice about the Privacy Act 2020 and any information-handling obligations that apply to the trading model.

6. Safety, Disputes, and Support

Safety takes priority over completing an order. Drivers and customers should stop the interaction and contact support if a situation becomes unsafe. For emergencies, contact New Zealand emergency services on 111.

For an order dispute, include the order reference, what happened, and the requested resolution. MazdaMunchers may review order snapshots, payment events, driver status, and audit records. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under New Zealand consumer or other applicable law.

7. Acceptance

Customers accept these Terms before placing an order. Drivers accept these Terms and the licence acknowledgement before creating a driver account. For 18+ items, the customer must also complete the separate age/ID confirmation at checkout. The effective draft version for this implementation is 2026-08-27-v1.
